It’s been astounding to watch God move as we grow at Widow Strong and continue to outreach together with our wonderful sponsors and donors on behalf of our widows and their fatherless children. Carrie Stringer, Widow Strong Lufkin, TX Team Leader, was interviewed on The Mother Load podcast this week! She shares her journey of life after losing a spouse, not once, but twice. A life that left her as a single mother. A life that left her with many questions, but more so she thinks these chapters of her life have strengthened her and her daughter’s faith.

Carrie talks about how her grief support group, Window Strong, which has helped her navigate the ever changing seasons of life after loss. She shares the balance of looking back, but continuing to move forward for her and her daughter. Most of all I think you will appreciate her willingness to say there are days that rip me apart and there are days I smile and through it all my faith let’s me say at the end of the day, “It is well with my soul.”

The Widow Strong Back to School Event has finished! It was held at the Widows Empowerment Center July 27th-July 29th.

We are proud to partner with Pulte Homes and Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church to provide area widows and their children with a new backpack and school supplies for the opening of the school year! Thank you!
