Dear Friends, Welcome to May’s Widow Strong newsletter. We wish all the mothers and those honoring mothers a great Mother’s Day weekend! God bless you and your families with joy and peace, we hope you enjoy some fun this a-MAY-zing month! We encourage our communities (You!) to embrace movement and be love in action!

As we work on care, community, and cultivating here at Widow Strong, we want to say a HUGE THANKS to all of our ministry partners and friends for standing with us to serve widowed families. Now, time to share and celebrate how God is moving in our community! We would love you to join us (see opportunities below)!

Mother’s Day “Life in Full Bloom” Gathering at Widow Strong

If you are a widow or if you know a widow near Marietta, Georgia, we would love to have at or have you share the “Life in Full Bloom” event this Saturday from 2:00-5:00 at the Widows’ Center! There will be teaching times on gardening, activities for children, and fun fellowship! Partnerships and donations help Widow Strong host meaningful outreaches.

We are in process of seeing more groups hold local Widow Strong events! Lastly, have 25 tickets to the GA Renaissance Festival that will be given to interested widows and their children this Saturday! Please, be aware that it is first-come, first-served with the tickets. Widow Strong’s B.O.D. Retreat Weekend

Thank you, Camp Grace, for the beautiful space and hospitality! This year’s Board of Directors Retreat Weekend focused on “3 Big Ideas: Care, Community, and Cultivate”. We are pleased to announce we have 11 active board members, and the time together was wildly productive!

Our dear friends at Clean Juice at Johnson Ferry, owned by Natalia Flowers, donated a day of service to upgrade our Widow Strong Community Teaching Garden AND donated many New Surprises to our garden and outdoor patio area just in time for our Monther’s Day Gathering!
