Widow Strong Newsletter: Graves into Gardens

 In Newsletter

Dear Friends,
There are no words to encompass the deeply powerful gift of New Life and Love that we have been lavishly given through Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice for us on the cross that is honored today, Good Friday.

You are precious to God. You are loved. Even when life is painful to the point of excruciating loss, there is Resurrection Power available to all of us…not to erase pain, but to triumph through it sharing real hope with others.

The power that swallows up death with life is the gift we desperately need and could never give ourselves.

Jesus simply changes everything.

Years ago, someone challenged me by saying, “I really like your 180 Your Life books, but I think you would sell more if you would just take out all the “Jesus stuff.” Why not do that?”

“Maybe so,” I replied, “though it’s not possible because it wouldn’t be honest. You see, as a widowed mom, I had money, changed my body through exercise, competed in triathlons, renovated my home, gardened up a storm, bought lots of stuff, traveled, and spoke to lots of people.”

“I was busy running and I did feel better, until I slowed down. Something was still missing. Only with Jesus is my JOY complete after the painful loss of my husband, mother, and father.”

True Transformation and New Beginnings are made possible because He Lives! We honor the passionate sacrifice Good Friday today and anticipate celebrating Jesus’ Real Resurrection Power!

Please take a moment to listen to this powerful song.

Growing Together!

HUGE Thanks to Brian Adams, a 17-year-old high school senior, who researched and installed a new drip-irrigation system in our Widow Strong Teaching Garden! His mother, Lisa Adams, also helped Brian paint our planting boxes while her company, Plexus, funded the supplies for the irrigation system and paint!

More surprises to come in May! Watch this 2-minute video of Brian’s motivation for service at Widow Strong.
