Widow & Her Marietta Yarn Fairies Need Your Help!

Rose Sanders, a longtime Widow Strong member, isn’t one to sit idle. Together with her team of senior widows, they have dubbed themselves the Marietta Yarn Fairies. They gather donated yarn and lovingly hand-crochet them into gorgeous lap blankets for shut-in seniors and those in nursing homes. They have distributed hundreds, if not thousands, of homemade lap blankets…and they need more yarn! The yarn should be four-ply acrylic, feel soft to the hands and be washable. Please drop off or mail yarn to Pooles Pharmacy, 660 Whitlock Ave SW suite G-1, Marietta, GA 30064. The Marietta Yarn Fairies will take it from there. Thank you!!

Glow Up!

Thank you for your patience as we grow sustainably through taking the time to strategize, update a new, dynamic widow database on our app, expand our admin team, and create our online leadership training modules for Widow Strong chapters this fall! Would you like to learn more about hosting a Widow Strong chapter and 10-Week New Beginnings Grief Empowerment Study at your church? Email cultivate@widowstrong.com to learn more.
